When we started Notice Labs, we built our business around writers. Freelance writers, to be specific.

They’re the backbone of everything we do - the reason we can help founders, executives, and world-class companies tell their stories. Over the past few years, I’ve worked alongside hundreds of them. And I’ve seen something that’s always bothered me.

Some of the most talented writers I’ve ever met - thoughtful, articulate, professional - simply don’t have consistent access to companies that need their talent most.

Meanwhile, on the other side, those same companies - startups, agencies, and fast-growing brands - are constantly searching for reliable, high-quality writers. They just don’t know where to find them.

That’s the gap we’re closing with Orbit.

Our mission

Orbit exists to make the freelance writing world smaller, in the best way.

We help writers find the right opportunities faster, and we help companies discover talent they can trust. Every Friday at 10 AM EST, we’ll send out a fresh batch of vetted opportunities:

  • Freelance writing jobs from our network of agency owners and partner companies

  • Hand-picked listings from around the web that meet fair-pay and realistic-output standards

  • The occasional full-time role for those seeking something more permanent

We’ll review every opportunity manually - checking for things like price per word, total compensation, and deliverable expectations, so you only see roles worth your time.

Why it matters?

Writing is how ideas move. It’s how companies grow. Behind every polished founder, newsletter, and brand voice, there’s a writer (or a team of writers) helping shape the story.

Orbit is our way of giving back to that community. A small step toward helping more writers earn fairly, work with great people, and build sustainable creative careers.

If you believe in that mission, whether you’re a writer, a founder, or a friend of one, I’d love for you to help us spread the word.
